Sometimes the tasks are just so boring that we don’t want to do them. Sometimes, it becomes stressful and you may want to spend your time working on things you will rather enjoy, than doing what is more important. But certain things need to be done at times they are called for. So, if you can stretch a bit to do it on timely manner, it will save a lot of efforts and help you increasing productively. Therefore, top students always find ways to manage that feeling, even if they cannot avoid it. We discuss in this article 5 ways to defeat procrastination.

#1 Keep a work progress Journal: Also in the morning or at night, just like with your calendar, write down what you want to accomplish in the day, like finish your assignment or math homework and if you don’t complete something, give a quick reason why. At the end of the day, to write down why you procrastinate, it will make you feel more guilty about it and help you avoid it. So that the next day you don’t have to write anything down because you complete the task that you set out to.

#2 Give yourself energy: You typically tend to procrastinate when you feel tired. Have you ever observed that you don’t feel like doing much work when you do not get a good night sleep? So, always try to give good energy to your body. Drink lots of water. Don’t drink more than one large caffeinated beverage a day. Try eating vegetables, fruits, whole grains, protein, and don’t skip meals. If this might be tough for you, at least follow this on exam weeks or week that you need to work a lot.

  • #3 Set a Target: Make studying Effective: Go to a coffee shop, a library or something where you are forced to begin work. It’s easier to procrastinate from home, but if you bring all your stuff with you somewhere and makes it more likely you will simply begin when you get there.

#4 Build a routine: I’m insert an hour to maybe have free every day and make that a must study out. So if you’re free at 11:00 AM everyday after a morning class, use that one hour at least to get work done. The main up enough time beginning into that routine will make for more consistently productive days.

#5 Choose your hard days: There will be some challenging days in college. Like for procrastinators, that would be the day before 2 exams in the papers do, but they are forced into that by the deadline. But what you should do is plan those days ahead of time. If you have some exams the next week, plan for a very tough day of work early on, as if you have lost the next day, then you can space out those tough days and feel more accomplished.
